Tue Mar 18 17:19:13 UTC 2025: ## Drug-Fueled Rage: Man Hacks Wife to Death in Kozhikode
**Kozhikode, March 19, 2025** – A man allegedly under the influence of drugs murdered his wife in Engapuzha near Thamarassery, Kozhikode, on Tuesday night. The assailant, identified as Yasir of Puthuppady, fled the scene after the attack, which occurred around 7 p.m. during the breaking of the Ramzan fast.
Yasir’s wife, Shibila, succumbed to her injuries at the Government Medical College Hospital, Kozhikode. Her parents, P. Abdurahman and Haseena, sustained serious injuries while attempting to intervene and were hospitalized. Abdurahman’s condition is reportedly critical. Haseena is receiving treatment at the Government Taluk Hospital, Thamarassery.
Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
