**Hyderabad, March 18, 2025** – The Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU) released the results for the first-semester examinations of its affiliated engineering colleges late Monday night. The results, for both regular and supplementary exams held in January, are available on the university portal.
Approximately 40,000 first-year B.Tech students from over 60 affiliated colleges appeared for the exams. However, initial reports indicate a low pass rate, with less than 10,000 students (under 25%) clearing all subjects.
Student representatives have reported high failure rates in Mathematics (M1), Engineering Drawing, and Physics. The university’s examination department director, Aruna Kumari, confirmed the release of the results to the principals of the affiliated colleges.
