**Thiruvananthapuram, March 18, 2025** – Kerala’s Higher Education Minister, R. Bindu, inaugurated the Centralised Instrumentation and Research Laboratory (CIRL) at the Government College for Women in Thiruvananthapuram on Monday. This marks the first of three such labs planned under the Kerala Network for Research Support in Higher Education (KNRSHE) Centre of Excellence.
Minister Bindu emphasized the crucial role these high-end research facilities will play in bolstering Kerala’s knowledge-based economy. The event was presided over by Rajan Varughese, member secretary of the Kerala State Higher Education Council, and attended by several other dignitaries including Jiju P. Alex (State Planning Board member), Sunil John (Additional Director of Collegiate Education), and Anila J.S. (college principal).
