**Hyderabad, March 16:** The Telangana government has launched the Rajiv Yuva Vikasam scheme, a significant initiative aimed at providing self-employment opportunities to SC, ST, BC, and minority youth in the state. The scheme will commence accepting online applications from March 17th to April 5th. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka, and Minister Ponam Prabhakar will officially inaugurate the application process today.

The scheme, expected to benefit nearly 500,000 young people, will utilize over ₹6,000 crore. Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka, who reviewed the scheme’s implementation, stated that this initiative represents the largest-ever push for youth self-employment in Telangana since its formation. He highlighted the considerable financial backing from various sources including the SC and ST Development Corporations and BC Corporation, ensuring broad reach. The government aims to provide self-employment opportunities to 1.5 lakh beneficiaries in the first year alone, with ₹2,000 crore already allocated in the budget.

The scheme offers loans in three categories based on unit value. Category 1 offers up to ₹1 lakh with an 80% subsidy, Category 2 provides ₹1-2 lakh with a 70% subsidy, and Category 3 offers ₹2-3 lakh with a 60% subsidy.

Applicants will need an Aadhaar card and bank account details to apply online via the official website: tgobmms.cgg.gov.in. Authorities anticipate a high volume of applications.
