Mon Mar 17 15:00:00 UTC 2025: **Telangana CM Launches Rajiv Yuva Vikasam Scheme, Highlights Government Achievements**

Hyderabad, [Date] – Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy today launched the “Rajiv Yuva Vikasam” scheme, aimed at providing financial assistance to unemployed SC, ST, BC, and minority youth. The launch event, held at the Assembly premises, was attended by Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka, ministers, and other party leaders.

CM Reddy highlighted the state government’s achievements in its first year, including the creation of over 54,000 government jobs – a number he claimed was unmatched by any other state in its first year. He also emphasized the provision of 200 units of free electricity to 50 lakh families and Rs. 500 gas cylinders to 43 lakh families. An upcoming distribution of 1.2 crore sarees to 65 lakh women members of self-help groups was also announced.

Reddy further underscored the government’s commitment to the dignity of women in Telangana and its support for the nationwide caste census advocated by Rahul Gandhi. He reiterated the state government’s commitment to the welfare of backward classes, citing the introduction of a bill in the Assembly to provide 42% reservation for BCs and another addressing the long-standing demand for SC sub-categorization.

The Chief Minister addressed concerns regarding his administration, emphasizing the government’s efforts to reduce wasteful expenditure and curb corruption. He cited increased revenue from sand sales and GST collections as indicators of improved financial management. Reddy also stated that the government is focused on transparency in the implementation of its schemes and ensuring that benefits reach deserving recipients.

Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka added that the scheme aims to create both government and self-employment opportunities for youth, particularly in rural areas, noting the recent successful conduct and swift release of results for Group-1 examinations.

The Rajiv Yuva Vikasam scheme will accept applications from today until April 4th. Beneficiary selection and unit allocation will take place between April 6th and May 30th.
