**Kanniyakumari, March 17, 2025** – A 31-year-old advocate, R. Ajith Kumari, from Eluppakonam near Thuckalay, was arrested on Monday under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. The arrest follows an investigation into the disappearance of two minor girls from Thuckalay, who had been missing since March 13.
After the girls’ parents filed a police report, three special teams were deployed to locate them. Investigations led to the discovery that the girls had been sexually assaulted by Ajith Kumari. Further investigations are underway.
