**Erode, March 17, 2025** – A 48-year-old construction worker, S. Ganesan, was found murdered on Monday morning at the Chennimalai weekly market. Police discovered his body at 7 a.m. near two stones, leading them to suspect foul play. Ganesan, a resident of Thirunagar Colony, had reportedly been drinking with friends at a TASMAC bar on Sunday night and failed to return home. His body was sent to Government Erode Medical College and Hospital for a post-mortem. Police are currently investigating and searching for Ganesan’s friends, who were last seen with him. He is survived by his wife and three daughters. Perundurai DSP Gokula Krishnan oversaw the crime scene investigation.
