**Hyderabad, March 17, 2025** – Members of the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM) staged a walkout from the Telangana Legislative Assembly today, protesting what they described as the ineffective conduct of House business.
MIM floor leader Akbaruddin Owaisi criticized Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar for abruptly ending Question Hour, claiming insufficient time was allotted for members to voice concerns. He further alleged that the daily agenda was delivered too late (3 a.m.) to allow adequate preparation and that submitted queries were altered without members’ knowledge.
Owaisi denounced these practices as undemocratic, questioning the introduction of new procedures. He declared, “This is an assembly, not Gandhi Bhavan,” before leading MIM members out of the Assembly. The protest highlights concerns over transparency and procedural fairness within the Telangana legislature.
