**HONG KONG –** Henderson Land Development (0012.HK), one of Hong Kong’s leading property developers, announced the passing of its founder, Li Ka-shing, at the age of 97 on [Date]. Mr. Li passed away peacefully surrounded by his family.

Despite the loss of its founder, Henderson Land remains focused on its ambitious development pipeline. The company reported strong sales in 2024, selling nearly 2,000 units for over HK$16 billion. Already in 2025, Henderson Land has launched two new projects in prime urban locations – Nam Sau in Kowloon City and Belgravia Place II in Cheung Sha Wan – both experiencing positive sales.

The company plans to launch a further eight major projects, comprising over 4,600 units, this year. The largest of these is a 2,060-unit development at 18 Cheng Fung Road in Kai Tak, a joint venture with China Overseas Land & Investment (0688.HK). Henderson Land’s strategy continues to focus on redevelopments in older urban areas, with significant projects planned in To Kwa Wan, including developments at Pei Li Street/Yung Kwong Street (over 1,200 units) and 72 To Kwa Wan Road (831 units). These projects will primarily offer smaller-to-medium sized units. The company’s luxury portfolio also includes a standalone mansion at Lugard Road on the Peak (approximately 12,000 sq ft) and a 172-unit development in West Mid-Levels.
