**CHENNAI, March 16, 2025** – Chennai police arrested three men, including a known criminal, for the murder of a 42-year-old cab driver, N. Raja. The attack occurred Friday night near the Thiruvallur Salai-Bharathiyar Street junction. Raja was reportedly talking to friends when the assailants, identified as A. Mani (25), C. Rahul (31), and P. Vignesh (31), approached on a motorcycle and attacked him with knives. Despite attempting to escape, Raja was chased and fatally wounded. The suspects even threatened a nearby police officer before fleeing the scene. They were apprehended later near Taramani. Mani has a history of criminal activity. The motive is believed to be prior enmity. Investigations are ongoing.
