**NEW DELHI** – A Holi celebration in Dwarka’s Goyla Dairy area took a violent turn on Friday, resulting in an assault and the vandalism of a taxi, police said Saturday. The incident began with an accidental splashing of color during Holi festivities at Chhath Ghat Park.

Raju Kumar (35), a resident of Qutub Vihar Phase 1, was celebrating with a friend, Rajesh, when they inadvertently splashed color on a local boy. A heated argument ensued, escalating when Kumar allegedly struck the boy.

The boy later returned with friends and allegedly assaulted Kumar and Rajesh, damaging their taxi by breaking its windows. Police arrived on the scene and transported Kumar to the hospital. However, Kumar did not provide a statement until Saturday, at which point a formal complaint was filed and an investigation launched.

The suspects, local residents, are currently being investigated by the Dwarka Deputy Commissioner of Police, Ankit Singh, who stated that further action will be taken. The incident highlights the potential for violence even during festive celebrations, underscoring the need for responsible behavior and conflict resolution.
