**LAHORE, PAKISTAN** – Lahore is set to be the centre of women’s cricket next month, hosting the ICC Women’s World Cup Qualifier from April 9th to 18th. Gaddafi Stadium and the Lahore City Cricket Association ground will stage all 15 matches of the 10-day tournament.
Six teams will battle for two coveted spots in the ICC Women’s ODI World Cup 2025, to be held in India in October-November. Hosts Pakistan will face stiff competition from West Indies, Bangladesh, and Ireland, alongside Associate Members Scotland and Thailand. These six teams secured their places based on the ICC rankings as of October 28th, 2024.
The tournament will kick off with a double-header featuring Pakistan versus Ireland and West Indies versus Scotland. Only the top two teams will advance to the World Cup, joining the already qualified Australia, England, New Zealand, South Africa, Sri Lanka, and India (hosts).
