The event aims to boost the adoption of Pi cryptocurrency in everyday commerce, ranging from small businesses to larger service providers. Merchants can register for PiFest via the PiFest Registration Guidelines.
In conjunction with PiFest, Pi Network has released a new feature allowing KYC-verified Pioneers to update their registered phone numbers. This addresses issues with incorrect or outdated contact information, enabling better account management and access. The update requires a liveness verification test to prevent unauthorized account changes.
However, Pi Network strongly cautions against any attempts to transfer or sell accounts. The company maintains a strict “one person, one account” policy. Any violation will result in permanent exclusion from the Pi ecosystem, as future account verification processes will detect duplicates. Users risk legal consequences for sharing account access and any resulting illegal activities. Furthermore, purchasers of accounts risk being unable to utilize the acquired accounts due to future verification requirements like liveness checks and name matching.
