**Mysuru, March 15, 2025** – A ten-day exhibition showcasing traditional Indian handicrafts and handlooms, the Gandhi Shilp Bazaar, opened Friday at JSS Urban Haat in Mysuru. The exhibition, sponsored by the Tripura government’s Directorate of Handloom, Handicrafts and Sericulture, offers a platform for artisans nationwide to display and sell their work.

The inauguration was attended by prominent officials including Ukesh Kumar, CEO of Mysuru Zilla Panchayat; P. Shivaraju, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Mysuru; Shaikh Tanveer Asif, Commissioner of Mysuru City Corporation; and R. Arun Kumar, Director of the Tripura Directorate of Handloom, Handicrafts and Sericulture.

The bazaar, open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily until March 23, offers free entry to the public. According to Rakesh Rai, coordinator of JSS Mysore Urban Haat, the event aims to promote and preserve India’s rich heritage of traditional crafts.
