**Amaravati, Andhra Pradesh (March 15, 2025):** Andhra Pradesh is set to build a major sports complex in Amaravati, its capital city. The project, encompassing a Sports City and a Sports University, will span 220 acres. Vijayawada MP Kesineni Shivanath announced that 142 acres have already been allocated for the university, which will train not only athletes but also support staff, including physiotherapists and coaches. The Sports City will also feature an international cricket stadium. Further upgrades to sports infrastructure are planned for several cities across the state, including Vijayawada, Guntur, Tenali, and Mangalagiri.
