**WANA, Pakistan (March 15, 2025):** Four worshippers, including a senior Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) cleric, were injured in a bomb blast at a mosque in South Waziristan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, Pakistan, on Friday. Police reported that an improvised explosive device (IED) detonated during Friday prayers at the Maulana Abdul Aziz Mosque. The IED was reportedly planted in the mosque’s pulpit.
District Police Officer Asif Bahader stated that the injured were transported to the Wana district hospital, and that police are investigating the incident and collecting evidence. This attack follows a suicide bombing last month at the Darul Uloom Haqqania seminary in the same province, which killed six and injured 15. Mosques in the region have been targeted in previous attacks.
