**Cape Canaveral, FL** – NASA and SpaceX are poised to launch the Crew-10 mission to the International Space Station (ISS) on Friday, March 14, at 7:03 p.m. EDT. Following the successful resolution of a minor hydraulics issue on the Falcon 9 rocket’s ground support system, the launch is now a go. Launch coverage begins at 3 p.m. EDT on NASA+.
The weather forecast is highly favorable, with a greater than 95% chance of acceptable conditions for launch on Friday. While conditions along the Atlantic coast are also expected to be favorable for the Dragon spacecraft’s journey to orbit, the probability of weather-related delays increases to 50% on Saturday and 60% on Sunday.
Astronauts Anne McClain and Nichole Ayers (NASA), Takuya Onishi (JAXA), and Kirill Peskov (Roscosmos) will embark on the mission. Crew-10 will join the Expedition 72/73 crew aboard the ISS, conducting numerous scientific experiments during their several-month stay. Docking at the ISS is anticipated around 11:30 p.m. EDT on Saturday, March 15.
Following docking, Crew-10 will spend a few days familiarizing themselves with the station before rotating with the returning Crew-9 (Nick Hague, Suni Williams, Butch Wilmore – NASA, and Aleksandr Gorbunov – Roscosmos). Crew-9’s departure from the ISS is scheduled for no earlier than Wednesday, March 19.
NASA Commercial Crew Program Manager Steve Stich praised the collaborative effort between NASA and SpaceX engineers for swiftly identifying and resolving the pre-launch issue, highlighting their commitment to mission safety and excellence. This mission marks the 10th crew rotation mission under NASA’s Commercial Crew Program and SpaceX’s 11th crewed flight to the ISS.
