Sat Mar 15 11:05:15 UTC 2025: ## Kashmir Experiences Fresh Snowfall and Rainfall
**Srinagar, March 15, 2025:** Fresh snowfall blanketed many areas of Kashmir, including the plains of Anantnag, Kulgam, Shopian, and Pulwama districts, on Saturday. Popular tourist destinations like Gulmarg, Sonamarg, and Pahalgam also saw snowfall. Gurez, parts of Kupwara, and higher reaches of the valley experienced snowfall throughout the day. Meanwhile, other parts of Kashmir received light to moderate rainfall.
The Meteorological Department predicted intermittent light to moderate rain in most areas on Saturday, with snowfall in higher altitudes. Light rain or snow is also possible in several places on Sunday morning, before improving in the afternoon. Heavy rainfall in some areas caused damage, including the washing away of a diversion road near the Qujjar Arpora bridge.
