Sat Mar 15 06:36:21 UTC 2025: ## ISRO Successfully Completes Extended Hot Test of Cryogenic Engine for LVM3-M6 Mission

**Bengaluru, March 15, 2025** – The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) announced the successful completion of a crucial flight acceptance hot test of the cryogenic engine for its upcoming LVM3-M6 mission. The test, conducted at the ISRO Propulsion Complex in Mahendragiri, Tamil Nadu, saw the CE20 engine run for 100 seconds – a significant increase from the previous 25-second limit imposed by the limitations of the High-Altitude Test facility.

This extended test duration was achieved through a newly developed Nozzle Protection System, conducted under non-vacuum conditions. ISRO stated that this innovative approach drastically reduces the time and effort required for flight acceptance testing, accelerating the process of preparing cryogenic stages for future launches.

The performance of the CE20 engine during the test met all objectives, with parameters closely aligning with pre-test predictions. This engine will now be integrated into the Cryogenic Upper Stage of the LVM3 launch vehicle for the LVM3-M6 mission, scheduled for the second half of 2025. The LVM3, a three-stage medium-lift launch vehicle, represents a key component of India’s ambitious space program.
