**Kakinada, March 15, 2025** – The erstwhile East Godavari Zilla Parishad approved a budget of ₹1,014.80 crore for the 2025-26 financial year during a general body meeting held on Saturday in Kakinada. The budget will fund development projects across Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Konaseema, Kakinada, East Godavari, and parts of Alluri Sitarama Raju districts – areas previously encompassed by the East Godavari district. Zilla Parishad Chairperson Vipparthi Venugopala Rao presided over the meeting.
