Sat Mar 15 12:10:00 UTC 2025: ## Commanders Bolster Offensive Line with Signing of Nate Herbig
**ASHBURN, VA** – The Washington Commanders have added depth to their offensive line, signing free agent Nate Herbig to a one-year contract, ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reported. Herbig, 26, spent the last two seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers, but missed the 2024 season due to a rotator cuff injury suffered in August. In 2023, he played in all 17 games for the Steelers, starting twice.
Herbig, an undrafted free agent out of Stanford, began his NFL career with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2019, appearing in 33 games with 17 starts before a brief stint with the New York Jets in 2022 where he made 11 starts. The Commanders hope his experience will provide valuable versatility and depth to their offensive line.
