Sat Mar 15 02:02:56 UTC 2025: ## CBSE Conducts Class 12 Hindi Exam Amidst Holi Celebrations; Contingency Plan in Place

**New Delhi, March 15, 2025** – The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is holding the Class 12 Hindi exam today across 7,842 centers in India and 26 locations abroad. The exam, which began at 10:30 am and concludes around 1:30 pm, is part of the ongoing board examinations for approximately 42 lakh students from 8,000 schools.

Recognizing that Holi celebrations may extend into March 15th in some regions, the CBSE has announced a special provision for students unable to attend the exam today. These students will be given a later opportunity to take the exam, similar to the accommodations made for students participating in national or international sporting events. CBSE Examination Controller Sanyam Bhardwaj confirmed the contingency plan, stating that the board is aware of varied Holi celebration schedules across the country.

The CBSE has reiterated key instructions for students appearing for the exams, including the mandatory carrying of admit cards and school ID cards, adherence to a strict dress code (school uniform), and a ban on electronic devices such as mobile phones and smartwatches. Students are urged to arrive at the examination center well before the 10:00 am deadline; late entry will not be permitted. Furthermore, the board strongly advises against spreading rumors or sharing exam-related materials on social media platforms.

The Class 10 board exams commenced on February 15th with the English exam, while Class 12 exams began with Entrepreneurship on the same date. The Class 10 exams will conclude on March 18th, and the Class 12 exams will finish on April 4th.
