**Madurai, March 15, 2025** – Justice R. Suresh Kumar of the Madras High Court inaugurated a new canteen at the Madurai District Court premises on Friday. The opening fulfills a long-standing request from advocates who cited the increasing number of lawyers, litigants, and court staff as justification for the need. The canteen is expected to improve convenience by providing on-site food services, saving time and eliminating the need for individuals to leave the court complex.
Justice Kumar also unveiled a portrait of A. Nedunchezian, the late former president of the Madurai Bar Association. He is scheduled to inspect the construction of a new court building on the premises tomorrow.
