**Hyderabad, March 15, 2025** – Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leaders have filed multiple police complaints against Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, alleging he made threats against former Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao. The complaints, filed Friday at Pet Basheerabad and Film Nagar police stations, cite Mr. Reddy’s statement suggesting Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao would be sent to a mortuary.
BRS legislators Shambipur Raju, K.P. Vivekanand, Marri Rajasekhar Reddy, and other party leaders, including MLC-elect Dasoju Sravan, contend that the Chief Minister’s comments constitute a criminal conspiracy to harm Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao. They argue that such a statement from a person in a position of power is unacceptable and amounts to a direct physical threat.
The complaints call for action against Mr. Reddy under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and the BNSS provisions. BRS leaders also requested increased security for Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao. The police are yet to respond to the complaints.
