**Thiruvananthapuram, March 15, 2025:** The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for seven districts in Kerala due to a predicted rise in temperatures. The alert affects Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Thrissur, Palakkad, and Kannur districts.

Temperatures are expected to reach 38°C in Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Palakkad, and Thrissur; 37°C in Alappuzha; and 36°C in Kottayam and Kannur. Other districts are also expected to experience high temperatures, with Thiruvananthapuram reaching 34°C, Ernakulam, Malappuram, Kozhikode, and Kasaragod reaching 35°C, and Idukki and Wayanad reaching 33°C.

The IMD warns of hot and humid conditions in these districts, excluding hill regions, on March 15th and 16th, due to high temperatures and humid air. The public is advised to take necessary precautions to protect themselves from the heat.
