Fri Mar 14 07:10:00 UTC 2025: ## UP Police Releases Final Results for 60,000 Constable Recruitments; High Cut-off Scores Reported
**Lucknow, [Date]:** The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) has released the final results for the recruitment of 60,244 police constables. The list of selected candidates is available on the board’s official website, uppbpb.gov.in. This year’s cut-off scores are significantly higher than in previous years, exceeding 225 for the unreserved category. Surprisingly, the OBC category’s cut-off surpassed that of the EWS category.
A total of 60,244 candidates have been selected, including 12,937 from the General category, 32,052 from the OBC category (against 16,264 vacancies), 14,026 from the SC category (against 12,650 vacancies), and 1,229 from the ST category (against 1,204 vacancies). The selection also includes 12,048 women candidates. The recruitment process saw over 4.8 million applicants.
The merit list is based solely on the written examination scores; the physical tests were qualifying rounds only. No waiting list has been prepared. In cases of tie-scores, preference was given to candidates possessing an NCC ‘B’ certificate, DOEACC ‘O’ level certificate, or two years of experience in the Territorial Army. If these criteria didn’t differentiate candidates, those older in age were given priority. The UPPRPB stated that the final selection was made based on normalized scores and adherence to reservation rules.
