**LAS VEGAS, NV** – The UNLV Rebels overcame a halftime deficit to defeat the Air Force Falcons 68-59 in the Mountain West Conference Tournament on Wednesday. The sixth-seeded Rebels (18-14) will now face the third-seeded Utah State Aggies in the quarterfinals on Thursday.
Jalen Hill led the charge for UNLV with an impressive all-around performance, scoring 18 points, grabbing 10 rebounds, and dishing out 7 assists. Hill’s 13 second-half points proved crucial in the comeback victory. Jailen Bedford contributed 13 points and 9 rebounds, while Jeremiah Cherry added another 13 points to the Rebel’s total.
Ethan Taylor paced the Falcons (4-28) with a game-high 23 points, along with 6 rebounds and 2 steals. Despite Taylor’s efforts, Air Force couldn’t overcome UNLV’s strong second-half performance. The Rebels trailed 25-21 at halftime before pulling away for the win.
