**Amaravati, March 14, 2025** – The Andhra Pradesh State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB) has approved a massive ₹3.10 lakh crore (approximately US$37.6 billion) worth of investment proposals between June 2024 and January 2025. This surge in investment is expected to generate 3.12 lakh (312,000) jobs across the state, according to Industries and Commerce Minister T.G. Bharath.
Minister Bharath announced the figures in the Legislative Council, highlighting that these approvals were secured within seven months of the new NDA government’s formation under Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu. Significant investments include:
* **ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India Pvt. Ltd:** ₹61,780 crore in an integrated plant with a captive port in Anakapalli district.
* **Astha Green Energy Ventures India Pvt. Ltd.:** ₹8,240 crore for an 1,800 MW power project in Annamayya and YSR Kadapa districts.
* **LG Electronics India Ltd.:** ₹5,000 crore in a consumer goods manufacturing unit at Sri City.
* **Philips Carbon Black Ltd.:** ₹3,798 crore in a rubber black and value-added chemicals plant in Tirupati district.
* **Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (BPCL):** ₹96,862 crore in an oil refinery and petrochemical unit at Ramayyapatnam Port.
* **Reliance Industries Ltd.:** ₹65,000 crore in establishing compressed biogas plants statewide.
* Other notable investments include projects in green ammonia, electrolysers, solar energy, and pumped storage projects from various companies like AM Green Ammonia (India) Pvt Ltd, John Cockerill Greenko Hydrogen Solutions Pvt. Ltd., Tata Power Renewable Energy Ltd., and others.
The substantial investment influx signals a significant boost to Andhra Pradesh’s economy and promises considerable job creation across various sectors.
