**CHENNAI, INDIA – March 13, 2025** – ZEE5 announced the upcoming premiere of its new Tamil original film, *Seruppuga Jaakirathai*, on March 28th. The film, directed by Rajesh Soosairaj, stars Singampuli, Vivek Rajagopal, Iraa Agarwal, and Manohar. The first-look poster depicts a slipper being contested, hinting at a comedic storyline.
*Seruppuga Jaakirathai* marks one of the first Tamil originals to premiere directly on OTT this year. The film’s crew includes cinematographer K Gangadaran, music composer LV Muthu Ganesh, and editor Wilsi J Sasi. S Singaravelan produced the film.
This announcement follows ZEE5’s acquisition of the post-theatrical streaming rights for the critically acclaimed Tamil family drama *Kudumbasthan*, starring Manikandan. *Kudumbasthan*, directed by Rajeshwar Kalisamy, received positive reviews for its story about a sole breadwinner facing financial hardship.
