**Mumbai, March 13, 2025** – Banks across numerous Indian cities will be closed on Friday, March 14th, in observance of the Holi festival. The closure affects major cities including Ahmedabad, Belapur, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Gangtok, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Itanagar, Jaipur, Jammu, Kolkata, Mumbai, Nagpur, New Delhi, Panaji, Patna, Raipur, Shillong, Shimla, and Srinagar. Some banks will also remain closed on March 15th.
While many banks will observe a two-day holiday, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) advises checking their holiday schedule for specific regional variations. Despite the closures, online banking services will remain fully operational.
In addition to the bank closures, the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) will also be closed on March 14th for Holi, halting all trading activities.
