NEW DELHI, March 13, 2025 – Delhi police are investigating the deaths of a woman and her two daughters, whose decomposed bodies were discovered in their southeast Delhi home on Wednesday. The bodies of Puja (42) and her daughters, aged 8 and 18, were found in their Molarband residence after neighbors reported a foul odor. Police estimate the bodies had been there for four to five days.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (South East) Ravi Kumar Singh stated that no suicide note was found at the scene and that the cause of death is yet to be determined, pending post-mortem results. While no signs of assault were immediately apparent, police are exploring various angles, including possible financial difficulties. The family reportedly hadn’t paid rent in months, and the daughters hadn’t attended school for several months. Further investigation is underway, including reviewing CCTV footage and verifying the husband’s employment status as a driver in Gurugram. Police are also attempting to establish the circumstances of the husband’s whereabouts.
