**Vijayawada, March 13, 2025** – The Andhra Pradesh State government has extended the suspension of three IPS officers for six months, citing negligence in a high-profile investigation. P. Sitharama Anjaneyulu, Kanthi Rana Tata, and Vishal Gunni were initially suspended and will now remain so until September 9, 2025.
The government’s order, issued Wednesday, stated that the officers failed to properly supervise an investigation into a complaint filed against Mumbai actress Kumari Kadambari Narendra Kumar Jethwani at the Ibrahimpatnam Police Station in Vijayawada. The officers allegedly did not ensure a thorough examination of the complaint before authorizing arrests in the case (Cr.No.90/2024).
In a separate order, V. Harshavardhan Raju, Superintendent of Police, Tirupati, has been given additional charge of Chief Vigilance & Security Officer, Tirumala Tirupati Devastanams, until further notice.
