**Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh –** The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) is set to host a grand celestial wedding ceremony, the Srinivasa Kalyanam, on March 15th at the Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple in Venkatapalem, Amaravati. This event marks the symbolic commencement of Amaravati’s reconstruction, as envisioned by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu.
TTD Chairman B.R. Naidu announced that the ₹30,000 crore tender process for the first phase of reconstruction is complete. The ceremony, expected to draw large crowds including the Chief Minister, state ministers, and thousands of devotees, will feature renowned artists and spiritual leaders.
Extensive arrangements have been made to accommodate an estimated 27,000 devotees. These include a dedicated venue, extensive security measures (including drones and CCTV), ample parking, food and water distribution, medical facilities, and special bus services provided by APSRTC. The event will be broadcast live globally by SVBC.
The Srinivasa Kalyanam, to be held from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., will be preceded by cultural and devotional performances. The TTD expects the event to be a significant step towards the city’s revival and seeks to involve the local population actively in the reconstruction process.
