**New Delhi, March 13, 2025** – The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced today that Class 12 students unable to take their Hindi exams on March 15th due to the Holi festival will be given a second chance. The exam, originally scheduled for March 15th, coincides with Holi celebrations in several regions, potentially preventing some students from attending.
The CBSE acknowledged the scheduling conflict, stating that while Holi is primarily celebrated on March 14th in most areas, some regions observe it on the 15th or have celebrations extending into that day. To address this, students facing difficulties due to the festival will not be penalized for missing the March 15th exam. They will be accommodated in a rescheduled exam, alongside students who qualify for special exams due to participation in national or international sporting events. The CBSE’s Controller of Examinations, Sanyam Bhardwaj, confirmed this decision.
