**Sircilla, Telangana, March 11, 2025** – Gangaram, the 59-year-old in-charge commandant of the 17th Battalion of the Telangana Special Police (TGSP), died in a tragic accident late Monday night. He fell down a lift shaft at an apartment complex in Sircilla, the district headquarters of Rajanna Sircilla.
According to sources, Mr. Gangaram, who hailed from Nizamabad district, slipped and fell while attempting to descend from the third floor of the building. He sustained severe injuries and was rushed to the Government Hospital in Sircilla, where he succumbed to his injuries during treatment. He had reportedly visited the apartment complex to offer condolences to a friend.
Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Bandi Sanjay Kumar, expressed his condolences on the death of the police commandant. An investigation into the incident is expected.
