**Moscow, March 11, 2025** – Russia reported its largest Ukrainian drone attack in three years overnight, with 337 drones shot down across ten regions. The attack, which targeted both Moscow and regions bordering Ukraine, resulted in at least one fatality and multiple injuries.

The Russian Defence Ministry stated that 126 drones were intercepted over the Kursk region, and 91 over the Moscow region. Other affected areas included Belgorod, Bryansk, Voronezh, Kaluga, Lipetsk, Nizhny Novgorod, Oryol, and Ryazan. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin confirmed that over 70 drones targeted the capital.

The attack caused significant damage. In the Moscow region, Governor Andrei Vorobyov reported one death and nine injuries, along with damage to seven apartments and several cars. Additional damage was reported in Lipetsk region. Minor damage was also reported to a building in Moscow itself.

The attack comes as a Ukrainian delegation is meeting with US Secretary of State in Saudi Arabia to discuss ending the three-year war. Ukrainian officials have not yet commented on the incident. The widespread drone assault prompted temporary flight restrictions at six airports near Moscow and elsewhere. Train traffic was also briefly halted near Domodedovo. While some local authorities reported downed drones in Tula and Vladimir regions, these were not mentioned in the Defence Ministry’s official statement.
