**Thiruvananthapuram, March 11, 2025** – The Kerala State government announced today the release of ₹73 crore in financial assistance to the Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) for pension payments. Finance Minister K.N. Balagopal confirmed the disbursement in a statement. This injection of funds comes despite the government already exceeding the KSRTC’s allocated budget. While ₹900 crore was earmarked for the corporation in the current financial year, the government has now released a total of ₹1,572.42 crore – an excess of ₹672.42 crore.
