Tue Mar 11 13:17:10 UTC 2025: ## Eight Arrested for Impersonation in Indian Forestry Exam
**COIMBATORE, March 11, 2025** – Eight individuals from northern Indian states were arrested for allegedly using impersonators to take a recruitment exam for the Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education (ICFRE). The arrests were made by the Saibaba Colony police following an investigation into the exam held on February 8th and 9th for Multi-tasking Staff (MTS) and Technical Assistant (TA) positions.
The accused, all men between the ages of 21 and 26, hail from Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Haryana, and Bihar. Their alleged scheme was uncovered during certificate verification following the exam. ICFRE director C Kunhikannan filed a complaint leading to the arrests. All eight have been remanded to judicial custody.
