Tue Mar 11 06:10:00 UTC 2025: ## Former CCTV Journalist Wang Zhian Accused of Domestic Violence, Fraudulent Divorce by Ex-Wife
**Tokyo, Japan** – Li Ting, the ex-wife of former CCTV journalist Wang Zhian, has publicly accused him of domestic violence, fraudulent divorce, and child custody manipulation in a series of emotional live streams. Li Ting alleges that Wang Zhian deceived her into moving to Japan, where he then pressured her into signing divorce papers just two months later.
During her first live stream, Wang Zhian interrupted, verbally abusing Li Ting and calling the police. Li Ting was briefly detained by police after being accused by Wang Zhian of threatening him and his girlfriend with a knife, and preventing their child from attending school. However, following investigation and interviews with their child, who corroborated Li Ting’s account and contradicted Wang Zhian’s claims, she was released.
In subsequent live streams, Li Ting detailed a history of domestic abuse, claiming incidents occurred both in Beijing and while she was recovering from childbirth at a maternity center, with witnesses to corroborate her claims. She stated that she had previously reported these incidents to police. Furthermore, she revealed that she had been forced to withdraw from public life and social media at Wang Zhian’s request, severely impacting her career and financial stability.
Li Ting explained that she was compelled to go public after years of silence because Wang Zhian is now attempting to gain full custody of their child, despite Li Ting being the primary caregiver. She claims he is providing inadequate child support given his financial resources and is using false accusations to undermine her in legal proceedings.
Li Ting also revealed that Wang Zhian had a new girlfriend who is pregnant, a fact he concealed from her until shortly before the birth, forcing their daughter into uncomfortable interactions with his new partner. This further escalated the conflict between Li Ting and Wang Zhian.
Wang Zhian, who left CCTV in 2015 and later hosted the online program “Ju Mian” in China before being banned in 2019, has been operating a YouTube channel in Japan since 2022. He has faced accusations of acting as a mouthpiece for Chinese state propaganda. He was recently banned from entering Taiwan for five years after making controversial remarks about Taiwan’s presidential election.
Li Ting’s accusations have sparked widespread attention online, raising serious questions about Wang Zhian’s conduct and prompting calls for a thorough investigation into the claims of domestic abuse, fraudulent divorce, and child custody manipulation.
