Mon Mar 10 11:20:00 UTC 2025: ## Rain Delays Gatornationals, Sets Up Explosive Prock-Tasca Showdown
**GAINESVILLE, Fla. (March 8, 2025)** – Torrential rain forced the cancellation of Saturday’s NHRA Gatornationals pro racing program at Gainesville Raceway. The event’s Right Trailers Top Fuel All-Star Callout has been rescheduled for Pomona, California, on March 29th.
Despite the washout, anticipation is high for Sunday’s eliminations, which begin at 9:30 a.m. A highly anticipated first-round matchup will see two-time World Champion Brittany Force (No. 6 qualifier) face off against racing legend Tony Stewart (No. 11 qualifier).
However, the biggest buzz centers on the Funny Car clash between Austin Prock and Bob Tasca III. Prock, despite holding a national speed record, qualified a disappointing 15th after a less-than-stellar Friday performance. Tasca, meanwhile, qualified second, setting the stage for a historic showdown between the only two drivers to ever break the 340 mph barrier in drag racing. This will be their first meeting in the opening round of a tour event.
Adding to the excitement, “Fast Jack” Beckman secured his first No. 1 qualifying position for John Force Racing since 2020, achieving his 29th career No. 1 start after clocking a 3.832-second run in his PEAK Antifreeze and Coolant Chevy SS. He will face Blake Alexander in the opening round. The All-Star Callout, originally featuring Brittany Force against Justin Ashley, will now be held alongside the Lucas Oil Winternationals.
