**JACKSONVILLE, FL** – The PGA Tour announced the 144-player field for The Players Championship, set to tee off at TPC Sawgrass on March 11th. The tournament boasts a nearly complete lineup of the world’s top golfers, with all but two of the top 50 players in the Official World Golf Rankings participating.
Eight past champions will be vying for the title, including defending champion Scottie Scheffler, who aims to become the first three-time Players champion since Jack Nicklaus. Scheffler also seeks to extend his winning streak to three consecutive PGA Tour events.
