Mon Mar 10 14:00:00 UTC 2025: ## Tornado Confirmed in Lake Mary, Central Florida Hit by Severe Storms
**Orlando, FL – March 10, 2025** – Central Florida experienced a morning of severe weather on Monday, March 10th, with a confirmed tornado touching down in Lake Mary, Seminole County. The National Weather Service in Melbourne confirmed the twister, which reportedly passed over the FOX 35 Orlando studios during a live broadcast. A wind advisory remains in effect until 7 p.m. for gusts up to 40 mph.
The severe thunderstorms prompted several tornado and severe thunderstorm warnings across the region. While the morning began calm, heavy rain and gusty winds arrived later, primarily impacting the late morning and midday hours. A low chance of isolated strong to severe storms, including the possibility of brief tornadoes, existed, mainly in Brevard and Osceola counties. The storms moved quickly, with most of the rain ending by the early to mid-afternoon.
FOX 35 declared Monday a “Weather Impact Day,” advising residents to prepare for inclement conditions. The station urged residents to secure loose outdoor items due to the strong winds.
Despite the severe weather, the forecast for the remainder of the week is positive, predicting dry conditions and sunshine, with temperatures rising into the mid-80s by Friday. The weekend will see warmer temperatures nearing the upper 80s.
