**Hyderabad, March 10, 2025** – The Telangana Public Service Commission (TGPSC) announced that the results for the highly anticipated Group-1 examinations will be released on Monday. This announcement brings much-needed relief to the thousands of candidates who have been eagerly awaiting the outcome.
The Group-1 exams, held for 563 positions, saw 21,093 candidates appearing for the main examination. The TGPSC will initially release the preliminary marks, initiating the final selection process. Following this, the commission will accept requests for recounts and subsequently publish a 1:2 ratio shortlist. Detailed marks will be available on the TGPSC website.
The release of the results follows the Supreme Court’s dismissal of two petitions filed against the exam process a month ago. These petitions, filed by candidates raising various objections, were initially rejected by the Telangana High Court before reaching the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court’s decision clears the way for the final results to be published. This is particularly significant as these are the first Group-1 recruitments in Telangana since the state’s formation 11 years ago.
The TGPSC also announced that the general rankings for the Group-2 exams will be released on Tuesday, and the rankings for Group-3 exams will be released on March 14th. The Group-1 main examinations were conducted from October 21st to 27th of the previous year. A total of 31,403 candidates (including sports quota) qualified for the main examinations. Previous protests regarding the exam process, which involved large-scale demonstrations and even a lathi charge, were ultimately unsuccessful in delaying the results.
