**Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh – March 10, 2025** – Chittoor police made a significant drug bust on Monday, seizing 8 kilograms of ganja (cannabis) worth ₹3 lakh and arresting a suspected smuggler. The arrest was the result of a targeted operation by a police team focused on suppressing ganja trafficking in the district.
The accused, identified as 52-year-old Manigandan of Chittoor town, was apprehended near police quarters in Mittoor. Police allege Manigandan sourced the ganja from the north Andhra region and distributed it within Chittoor district. Along with the ganja, authorities confiscated a mobile phone and a two-wheeler. An investigation is underway.
