COIMBATORE, March 8, 2025 – Tamil Nadu will experience no power cuts this summer, Electricity Minister V. Senthilbalaji announced on Saturday. The state government has implemented measures to handle increased electricity demand, including issuing separate tenders to address peak demand following consultations with the Chief Minister and Electricity Board. The minister stated the government is fully prepared to manage the peak summer load and maintain a stable power supply.
Responding to accusations of misusing funds from the state-run liquor corporation, Tasmac, by BJP leader K. Annamalai, Minister Senthilbalaji declined comment until the conclusion of Enforcement Directorate (ED) raids, calling Annamalai’s claims baseless and inconsistent. He further asserted that the public recognizes the government’s effective implementation of welfare programs.
