**Hyderabad, March 10, 2025** – Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and Irrigation Minister N. Uttam Kumar Reddy have announced a ₹25 lakh compensation to the family of Gurpreet Singh, a tunnel boring machine (TBM) operator who died in the SLBC tunnel collapse on February 22nd. Singh, a native of Punjab, was employed by the American company Robinson. His body was recovered on Sunday, March 9th, after a portion of the tunnel collapsed, trapping eight workers. The Chief Ministers expressed their condolences and assured the family of full support in repatriating Singh’s remains to his home village in Punjab.
