**Kalaburagi, Karnataka –** A heated dispute over the type of chapati served at the Kalaburagi Central University’s mess escalated into a brawl on Friday, resulting in one student being hospitalized. The altercation, which occurred on the Aland Taluka campus, stemmed from a disagreement between two groups of students, reportedly led by Prashant and Suhas. Students from Bihar reportedly demanded hand-made chapatis, while the mess was providing machine-made ones.
The argument quickly turned violent, prompting university authorities to contact the Narona Police Station. Police arrived and restored order. One student sustained injuries during the fight and was subsequently admitted to a hospital. The police are currently investigating the incident. The university administration has not yet commented publicly on the matter.
