**OKLAHOMA CITY –** Oklahoma City Thunder center Isaiah Hartenstein will miss Friday’s game against the Portland Trail Blazers due to a re-injury of a nasal fracture, according to Clemente Almanza of USA Today. Hartenstein initially suffered a facial contusion on February 24th against the Minnesota Timberwolves, but played through the injury in the five subsequent games. The severity of the re-injury is unclear, though the team is optimistic he may be able to return with a protective mask.
The absence of Hartenstein, coupled with the potential absence of Chet Holmgren (leg injury), leaves the Thunder thin in the frontcourt. Jaylin Williams and Kenrich Williams are expected to shoulder a heavier load in their absence. The team has yet to comment on the length of Hartenstein’s expected absence.
