Sat Mar 08 17:10:00 UTC 2025: ## Andhra Pradesh Launches Re-verification of Indiramma Housing Scheme Applicants

**Hyderabad, [Date]:** Andhra Pradesh officials have begun a re-verification process to ensure the accurate selection of beneficiaries for the Indiramma Housing Scheme. The state government aims to provide 3,500 houses per assembly constituency this fiscal year.

Following the initial launch of the scheme in 562 panchayats on January 26th, 72,045 individuals were approved for housing. This re-verification focuses on remaining villages within each mandal, excluding those already covered.

Officials previously used the Indiramma Housing app to collect details from applicants, categorizing them into three lists: L-1 (owning land), L-2 (owning no land or house), and L-3 (others). This data was submitted to MPDOs (Mandal Parishad Development Officers) and municipal commissioners.

The current re-verification prioritizes the L-1 list (21.93 lakh applicants), excluding the 72,000 already approved. Teams of four to five have been deployed per mandal to conduct on-site verifications and investigate complaints of applicants mistakenly placed in incorrect categories. The goal is to identify the most deserving beneficiaries among the poorest.
