Vadodara: Despite a valiant 64-run performance from Sachin Tendulkar, India Masters suffered a crushing 95-run defeat against Australia Masters in the International Masters League (IML) 2025.
Australia’s victory was built on sensational centuries from Shane Watson (110 not out) and Ben Dunk (132 not out). The pair smashed a combined 242 runs, propelling Australia to a massive 269/1 in their 20 overs. Watson’s innings included 12 fours and 7 sixes, while Dunk’s featured 12 fours and 10 sixes.
In response, India Masters were bowled out for 174 in their 20 overs. Tendulkar’s half-century, a display of aggressive batting reminiscent of his prime, was not enough to prevent the defeat, as the rest of the Indian batting lineup failed to match his intensity.
